Salon Policy

By booking an appointment with KMHD, you are agreeing to our Salon Policy which may be subject to change at any time.

Service Deposits 

All service bookings will require a 25% deposit to secure your booking unless you are otherwise notified. Some services like Hair Extensions require a 50% deposit, your stylist will confirm this during your initial consultation.

Clients with a history of appointment No-Shows will be required to pay a 50% deposit to secure bookings.

All deposits charged for services are non-refundable in the event of a late cancellation (less than 24 hours notice) or a No-Show and a further deposit will be required upon re-booking.

Quotes and Consultations

Whilst we endeavour to provide accurate quotes for all services over the phone and via our published pricing, prices may vary pending the length and thickness of your hair requiring more time and product to complete your service. Please request a quote from your stylist during the face-to-face consultation process if required.

All published pricing is a starting price and is subject to change based on the consultation.

Late Arrivals 

In order to respect the time of both our clients and our staff, we ask you to arrive on time for your appointment so that you do not impose on our other clients who arrive on time. If you are running late, please call the salon and advise us so that we can adjust our schedule if possible.

Clients arriving more than 15 minutes late may result in your allotted time being reduced and clients arriving more than 30 minutes late may forfeit the original appointment and be rescheduled. 

Clients that arrive late and have their appointment forfeited will lose their deposit and will require an additional deposit to be paid when re-booking.

Late Cancellations 

We understand that emergencies happen. If you need to cancel your appointment, we ask that you notify us of any cancellations or rescheduling requirements at least 24 hours prior to the appointment. If this is not possible, we ask that you notify us as soon as possible. 

Clients with a history of late cancellations will have their deposit forfeited and a new deposit required when re-booking.

No-Shows 

Appointments are specially reserved for each client with the amount of time allocated directly related to the service booked. If you do not arrive for your reserved appointment time and do not notify us or answer our call when we phone you, your appointment will be cancelled, and your client card updated to reflect you were a no-show. 

Clients with a history of No-Shows will be required to pay a 50% non-refundable deposit for future appointments and may be charged an additional No-Show fee at our discretion.

Service Guarantee 

Your satisfaction is our highest priority. If you are not completely happy with the service provided, please let us know during your appointment or within 7 days after your service has been performed. We are committed to making any necessary corrections if there was a fault on our behalf, changing your mind on the service you wanted during or after the booking does not qualify as fault. Please note we do not offer refunds on services.

Health History 

For your comfort and safety, please notify our stylists if you have allergies, any physical injuries or disabilities, or if you are pregnant. If you experience discomfort or any other symptoms during the treatment, please alert your stylist immediately. Clients with open wounds on their scalp will not be given chemical services for health and safety reasons.

Right To Refuse Service 

Our salon staff has the right to refuse service to anyone intoxicated, displaying flu symptoms, being disrespectful to others or posing a health and safety risk to staff or clients. Clients who are refused service for behavioural reasons, will have their service cancelled and be required to pay a 50% deposit before any future appointments are booked.

Children in the Salon 

Children are very welcome in our salon, however as a matter of safety and a courtesy to other salon clients, you are responsible for supervision of your children at all times while in the salon. Clients that do not provide adequate supervision for their children may be reminded to do so by one of our friendly staff members.
